Hilary Gooding is a Titled Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist. Hilary started her physio career completing an undergraduate degree with Honours at James Cook University in 2010. Where Hilary was awarded with the research prize of excellence. She has since completed a Master degree in Sports Physiotherapy at University of Queensland in 2018, to become a Titled APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist.
Titling “represents a physiotherapist who is highly qualified in a particular area of practice [sports]” (APA website).
Hilary has worked in multiple private practices around Brisbane; Windsor, Bellbowrie, Kenmore, and South Bank. She has also supported a range of sporting teams, and up to international level athletes. In 2019, Hilary left working as the first in-house Physiotherapist at Flight Centre Travel Group to start her own Business; Feel Good Sports Physiotherapy. The Sports Physiotherapy Clinic is located in Pinjarra Hills and services Bellbowrie, Pullenvale, Kenmore, Karalee and surrounding suburbs. Hilary has recently become a member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists after achieving ‘highly advanced’ level practitioner in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy.
Working within restricted timeframes is Hilary’s forte. She has a wealth of knowledge treating a range of sporting injuries, speeding up return to sport, injury prevention, and subsequent performance enhancement. Hilary also has a special interest managing horse rider injuries, being a horse rider herself!
Hilary is also the sports physiotherapist for the up and coming talent at Ipswich State High Rugby, and helps at national and international Judo competitions.
In her spare time Hilary enjoys triathlon training, horse riding, and going to the gym with her husband William.
